Sparty crusies into Round 2!

(This is obviously a fictional account of a fictional playoff game!)

We are lucky enough to have the gorgeous and wonderful Jennifer Sterger reporting on this first round matchup! Jenn has been in the news a lot lately due to no fault of her own, and its good to see her back doing what she should be doing! Reporting on football!

Here is Jenn:

It didn't take long for Sparty to take charge of this match up. Michigan State scored 24 unanswered points in the first half and cruised home to a big 31-13 win against Boise State. Kellen Moore threw for 315 yards and a score in a losing effort.

The Spartans now await the winner of the Auburn-Central Florida game.

Game #1 a Final!

Jenn Brown reports on the first ever Winter Madness NCCA Football playoff game!

In what was supposed to be a passing bonanza, Oklahoma held on to defeat the Arkansas Razorbacks 34-30 when future 1st Round Draft pick Ryan Mallett was picked off by the Sooners Quinton Carter. Carters 5th INT on the season leads the Sooners and was easily the play of the game.

Carters picked sealed the win!

Mallett was solid in the loss throwing for 327 yeards and 2 scores, but his only turnover was the game ender sending the Sooners on to the next round!

(This is obviously a fiction account of a fiction playoff!)
The Sooners now await the winner of the Oregon Uconn game later today.

Game #2 #7 Michigan State vs #10 Boise State

The second game of the tournament pits a solid Michigan State team taking on the always fun Boise State squad!

Kickoff is about 30 minutes after the Oklahoma-Arkansas kickoff. Boise star Kellen Moore hopes to stop Sparty in this huge battle!

Playoffs!

We all know what needs to be done!

PLAYOFFS!!! PERIOD! March Madness is the best! A College Football Playoff system would be amazing!

The athletes already practice from August through MID JANUARY! So, until the powers that be are gone, the best we have is these Mock Playoff things!

This is mine!

Who gets in the tournament? Champions and at large berths! Sound familiar?

Champions of the Pac 10. ACC, Big 12, Big East, Big Ten, Conference USA, Mountain West, SEC and the WAC. That is 9! Then we add 7 at large teams. For this we use the BCS rankings, if you don't win your league you better be in the next 7 in the rankings, if not you go home! Or in this case, you go to the OTHER Bowls (think NIT)

The National Championship would float (like the Super Bowl) and truly this game could be as big as the Super Bowl is every year! It could bounce from Arizona, South Florida, LA, Dallas, just like the Super Bowl does! THIS WILL WORK!

This year the Rose and the Fiesta would hold the semifinals (this could move around) and the Quarters would be the Sugar, Orange, Cotton, and Gator Bowls.

The first round could be NEW REVENUE Generators! 8 1st round match ups a year, call them the Walmart, Microsoft, IBM, and Google Bowls! Whatever! Yes I am leaving the Beef O Brady's Bowl and the Little Caesars Bowl to fend for themselves, but I have a plan for them as well!

If you lose round 1 you can still play in a MEANINGLESS BOWL (just like all but 2 teams play in NOW!)

Feel free to go to the Beef O Brady if you were a #1 seed who got upset early! MORE REVENUE!!!

But, a REAL CHAMPION!!!

So lets do this! Lets make it happen! NOW! 2011!

What is next? The seeding show, on NBC with Bob Costas! You think Lebron's announcement got ratings???? Stay tuned!
